Dear Sirs:
Master Jigoro Cano had a great vision when he created this sport in the year 1882.
For more than 130 years his teachings about the philosophy of Judo have accomplished its goals with the Master’s motto, “Friendship and Mutual Prosperity”.
The urge to commercialize Judo on the hands of unscrupulous people is endangering traditional judo.
For this reason, the World Judo Federation was created, in order to continue with the unequivocal values bequeathed by Master Jigoro Kano and the Traditional Judo, now under the mottos Judo For Life and Judo For All.
I congratulate the Traditional Kodokan Judo Greece through their president, Ageris Maistrellis, for following the teachings of Master Kano, which is manifested in this first 2013 event.
